The Rights of Persons with Disabilities Rules 2017 in Braille

The Rights of Persons with Disabilities Rules, 2017 came into force on June 15, 2017 through the Gazette Notification No. G.S.R. 591(E). The Central Government deserves special thanks for framing the Rules within six months of the publication of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 on December 28, 2016. Let us hope that the Government will take equal care that these rules are implemented and reviewed from time to time for its effective implementation. The Rules contain ten chapters on different issues. Persons with disabilities would like to read Rules related to Rights and Entitlements (Chapter II), Employment (Chapter IV), Vacancies for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (Chapter V), Accessibility (Chapter VI) and Certificate of Disability (Chapter VII). Just a few are mentioned here. We should read the entire book for an idea.

In addition, it has eight forms, three for returns to be submitted by employers employing disabled persons. The other forms include application for certificate of disability, three formats of disability certificate, and one form for intimation on rejection of application for disability certificate.
