BPA Pays Tribute to Sadhan Gupta

Blind Persons’ Association today remembered Late Sadhan Gupta in a condolence meeting at Surya Sen Bhaban in Kolkata. The members and guests recalled his contribution to promoting the cause of the sightless people in the country. Shri Ranjit Bhattacharya, his secretary for forty-seven years, related his brilliant academic career and his active role as a parliamentarian and a lawyer. Smt. Chandreyee Alam, his daughter, spoke of his father’s close association with his family. She told the house how Sandhan Gupta’s mother, Smt. Usha Gupta, taught him Braille before sending him to Calcutta Blind School. Shri Narayan Ganguly, President of Blind Persons’ Association, remembered with respect the early years of the organisation when Sadhan Gupta exerted himself to developing this platform.
