Neruda’s Poems in the Hands of Bengali Visually Impaired Readers

The Embassy of Chile in India, Instituto Cervantes in New Delhi and Blind Persons’ Association jointly printed in Braille “Jinispatrer Prati”, a Bengali translation (by Shri Aparajit Chattopadhyay) of Pablo Neruda’s selected poems. The objective of the project is to give an opportunity to the visually impaired readers of South Asia, especially Bengali Braille readers, to be acquainted with the poems of Pablo Neruda, the Nobel Laureate poet of Chile. This small anthology contains Bengali translation of Oda Las Cosas and other poems. The book was formally released before an invited audience on 1st December, 2016 at the Auditorium of Instituto Cervantes, New Delhi.
