Gita Govindam in English Braille

Jan 4, 2017 | 0 comments

Gita Govindam by Kavi Jayadeva in English Braille is our first release of 2017. We are also proud to announce its publication on Mon. Louis Braille’s 208th birth anniversary. Jayadeva’s Gita Govindam is one of the most popular Sanskrit works in India. Its verse and musical cadence have greatly contributed to its popularity. Particularly in the southern parts of India, it is recited and sung in temples. The verses highlight the aspiration of Atma for union with Paramatma, symbolized in Sriradhika’s love for Srikrishna. Though transliterated in English, readers, we hope, will not miss its charm.

This small Braille volume will be available for INR 34. As usual, students and unemployed readers may collect it for INR 10. Please visit our catalogue for purchase details.
